Christina & Gabriel wanted a very simple, yet modern wedding, which was to be held at
Cavallo Point in Sausalito. The backdrop there is stunning, even on a cold, rainy night like we ended up with. The original plan was to have the ceremony outdoors on the upper lawn, but with the rain forecast, we switched the plans on Thursday to be inside the most adorable chapel that is on the property as well. Good thing we did, because while it had been sprinkling most the of the day, it really came down after the ceremony ended!
I really love working with Christina, she was extremely easy going, knew exactly what she liked and didn't like, and had complete trust in me and the vendors I was referring her to. She wanted to honor her husband's heritage, so not only did we have a mariachi band during cocktail hour, we also made the interior of the ballroom feel a little more like it was outside by stringing market lights right below the banisters. Everything came out beautifully, and the bride and groom celebrated late into the night with all their friends and family.
Since a lot of guests were traveling, they made sure to make sure the weekend was planned so that they could spend as much time with their family and friends. Friday night there was a Welcome Party in the Spanish Suite at the
Clift Hotel, and Sunday morning, they hosted a wine country tour complete with barrel room tours and lunch at
Auberge du Soleil. You know how much I love a wedding weekend, and this one definitely made their guests feel appreciated!
